The NY Sports Report is an independent site that covers all the major New York sports teams, owned by Sportsday Publishing, LLC. From 2004-2020, the staff ran NY Sports Day which was sold during the pandemic and then sold again a year later. In Jan 2025, the company that owned NYSD, shut it down leaving the staff looking for new outlets.
In December 2025, the NY Sports Report was born.
We cover all nine local teams (Mets and Yankees, Giants and Jets, Knicks and Nets and the Devils, Islanders and Rangers), as well as their minor league affiliates.
NY Sports Day was the one independent online outlet credentialed by all nine of the major New York sports teams. We hope that it will happen again.
